Madikwe
Madikwe Game Reserve is currently the fifth largest game reserve and is also one of the lesser- known parks in South Africa. This makes it a hidden- gem as it is regarded as one of the best conservation areas in Africa and offers the Big 5 in a 750 km2 park. The park is situated in a malaria-free zone.
Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage site, becomes a lush animal habitat during the seasonal floods which normally peaks between June and August when the Delta swells to three times its normal size. The Delta is however great destination to visit all year round. The Moremi Game Reserve in the Eastern portion of the Okavango Delta comprise of a stunning landscape of forests, lagoons, floodplains and islands. Mokoros (dug-out canoes) are used to navigate past birdlife, hippos and crocodiles. Game viewing is excellent year-round and resident species include lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, wild dog, zebra and many more. Victoria Falls
The Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfall and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of the greatest attractions in Africa. It is located in the Zambezi River, which forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is the only waterfall in the world with a length of more than a kilometre and a height of more than a hundred metres. The noise of Victoria Falls can be heard from as far as 40 kilometres away, while the spray and mist from the falling water is rising to a height of over 400m. The water level varies throughout the year with its peak in April, at the end of the rainy season and its lowest level in October and early November.
Rovos Rail
Since its establishment in 1989, Rovos Rail has earned an international reputation for its truly world-class travel experiences. Helicopter Tour

Enjoy a scenic bay cruise departing from the T-jetty in front of the Hildebrand restaurant at the V&A Waterfront and enjoy stunning views of Table Mountain, Lions Head and Signal Hill as we cruise along the coastline. We then either drop anchor in front of Clifton’s 4th beach or Granger Bay OR if the weather and ocean conditions aren’t suitable, we will return to the mooring at the V & A Marina to relax and enjoy the luncheon menu of your choice.
Dinner Cruise
Enjoy a scenic bay cruise departing from the T-jetty in front of the Hildebrand restaurant at the V&A Waterfront and once again enjoy stunning views of Table Mountain, Lions Head and Signal Hill as we cruise along the coastline or out into Table Bay to admire the spectacular Cape sunset.
Guests will be served little platters of melba toast, pate and an assortment of savory snacks and Pongracz Method Cap Classique sparkling wine before we return to the mooring half an hour after the sun has set to enjoy one of our selection of available menus. Golf at Pearl Valley
Enjoy a round of golf at the Pearl Valley Golf Course in the heart of the Cape Winelands framed by majestic views of Simonsberg Mountains. This masterpiece was shaped by the vision of golf legend Jack Nicklaus and his unique touch is evident throughout the course. Pearl Valley has two signature holes, 4th and 13th, both offering majestic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. The 4th hole is as challenging, with limited margin for error as you need to cross the creek three times en route to a tricky green. This par 5 is regularly listed as one of the best par 5’s in South Africa, epitomising the ideals of ‘risk and reward’. The 13th hole is a daunting par 3. As the water cuts from the right and a greenside bunker waits, one is mesmerised by the cautious tee shot. This hole tests both your ball striking and your nerve.

Botswana
Enjoy a road transfer to O.R. Tambo International Airport whereafter you will take a 1 and a half hour Economy class flight to Maun Airport in Botswana. Be welcomed by a lodge representative and transferred to your chosen luxury lodge in a helicopter in the Okavango Delta – the world’s largest inland delta often referred to as a miracle of nature lying at the heart of the Kalahari Desert.

Scenic Helicopter Flights
Thrill to an aerial view of the Okavango Delta as you soar above a vast maze of both permanent and fleeting waterways and floodplains that occupy an otherwise sandy corner of Botswana in a helicopter. Fly over rivers and pools dotted with lily pads, as well as a variety of wild animals that inhabit this unique habitat.
Photographic Safari
Improve your outdoor photography and capture the magnificent wildlife and scenic landscapes of the Okavango Delta on a photographic safari. This safari is accompanied by a professional photographer, who is also a trained guide and is able to predict the behaviour of the animals, as well as giving you advice on the composition and settings for your photographs. Set out in a private vehicle and spend as much time as you want at each sighting, bringing your own equipment or use the state-of-the-art digital SLR cameras with zoom lenses that are provided.
Water Safari
The Delta is probably best known for its Mokoro rides. These are boating trips through the maze like channels and shallow lagoons of the Delta. They are conducted in traditional boats which are called Mokoros. These sturdy boats used to be hand crafted out of large Delta trees. Today most of the boats used in the Delta are fiber glass replicas, to prevent the cutting down and depletion of the Delta’s magnificent trees. Mokoros are a great way to go game viewing. As they are not motorized, they allow you to glide silently through the channels. This allows you to approach the wildlife silently and you will see more, as they are not scared off by a motor. You will see many animals that feed on the grass and reeds on the palm islands such as lechwe, sitatunga, elephant, hippo and crocodile.
Zambezi Queen
Take a helicopter transfer to Kasane where you will be transferred to the Zambezi Queen for the ultimate African River Safari. Experience world-class sophistication and elegance together with the thrill of an African bushveld adventure while staying in a luxurious suite aboard this floating hotel. Lunch will be served upon boarding. Later in the afternoon you’ll go in search of big game by tender boat. Thereafter enjoy a delightful three-course dinner.
Safari on the Luxurious Zambezi Queen
Delight in a leisurely start to your day at breakfast on the upper deck whereafter activities range from water-based safaris, bird watching or fishing. You may even decide to simply remain on-board as the Zambezi Queen makes its way along the banks of the Chobe River. Enjoy lunch Buffet-style and take in the magnificent views from this unique vantage point. Join the guide in the afternoon for a water-based safari on a tender boat where you can get up close to some of the approximate 120 000 elephants that the Chobe is known for.
Victoria Falls
Enjoy a morning cruise during breakfast before you disembark the Zambezi Queen. Thereafter you will take a road transfer to the Victoria Falls, where you’ll stay for the next 3 nights. Indulge in fine dining, enjoy adventurous outdoor activities or just relax on the hotel’s deck as the sun sets over the breathtaking Victoria Falls.

Zambezi Spectacular Flight
The Zambezi Spectacular flight encompasses the traditional “Flight of Angels” then continues downstream for a thrilling flight over the Batoka Gorges. An opportunity to witness the Zambezi river metamorphosis from a genteel and meandering river to turbulent raging rapids as the river, 1,7km wide at the Victoria Falls tumbles 120m before being compressed by a steep granite gorge a mere 40m wide.
The finale to the Zambezi Spectacular Flight is a game spotting tour over Zambezi National Park – home to many of the traditional African species including elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, crocodile and giraffe which are regularly seen from the air during this stage of the flight.
Big Air Experience
Bungee Jump
The original and ultimate thrill! The location is unbeatable – in front of the largest curtain of falling water in the world, a World Heritage Site, set against the backdrop of one of the Seven Natural Wonders in the World and above the raging torrents and misty gorges of the mighty Zambezi River. Then 5-4-3-2-1 Bungee into the spray and rainbows below! Four seconds of freefall and 111 metres of pure adrenalin! Victoria Falls Bungee is consistently voted as one of the top five adrenalin experiences on the planet. For Bungee Jump veterans, make it even wilder by doing an Ankle-Tied, Back Flip or Star Elevator Jump.
Bridge Swing
Step off the Victoria Falls Bridge into the Batoka Gorge over the mighty Zambezi River in an upright position for an 80 metre freefall then become a human pendulum as you swing in a huge arc with the cascading waterfall rumbling by your side. If you do not want to step into the void alone, take a partner with you and scream together as the rush of adrenalin surges through your body. The Swing provides a bonus chance to absorb the beautiful scenery of the Batoka Gorge while you slowly get winched back to the platform.
Bridge Slide
The Bridge Slide is exciting and mildly adventurous but friendly for all ages from six years and up – either alone or with a friend. Beginning from a platform on the Zambian edge, the zipline glides 300 metres over the rapids in the Batoka Gorge below affording incomparable views of the Victoria Falls before gently coming to rest on the Zimbabwean side of the bridge.
River Rafting
The journey begins 10km downstream of the Falls starting at the Overland Truck-eater (Rapid 11) through to The End (Rapid 24) and includes the Mother (Rapid 13) at its brooding best. The river Journey is about 15km.
Land of the Giants - Safari Excursion
Elephant Back Safari
Shearwater’s herd of twelve elephants reside on the Stanley and Livingstone Private Game Reserve, a few kilometres outside of Victoria Falls. Each Elephant has formed a close bond with their personal Induna (elephant handler) who live permanently with the elephants and understand each elephant’s unique character and traits. Participate in a Breakfast or Sundowner Elephant Back Safari and seize the opportunity to ride on these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.
Rhino Encounter, Night Game Drive Bush Dinner
This Sunset into Night Game Drive adds a unique dimension to the safari allowing you an opportunity to see scores of game march towards the Nakavango Dam to have their fill just before the sun comes down. After dark, you can catch a glimpse of the nocturnal species of Africa come out to feed. The Night Game Drives return to the reception area where a fulfilling Bush Dinner under the stars will complete the evening.
High Tea at the Royal Livingstone
The Royal Livingstone’s Traditional High Tea is as famous and celebrated as the Hotel itself. Offering a tempting selection of cakes and confectionaries against the backdrop of the roaring Victoria Falls, the Royal Livingstone High Tea Experience is a thrill for the senses.
Sundowner Cocktails overlooking the Victoria Falls
African sunsets are legendary and so much more a sunset right over the Victoria Falls. The Royal Livingstone’s two Sundecks are the perfect location for sundowners. Located right on the Zambezi River, they offer unrivalled views of the river and the thundering Victoria Falls. A Sundowner cocktail on one of Royal Livingstone’s sundecks is a must do.
Rovos Rail Journey Commences
Enjoy a late afternoon transfer to the Rovos Rail Station. Embark on a 3 night adventure aboard the Rovos Rail – the most luxurious train in the World. Depart from Victoria Falls Station and travel towards Zimbabwe’s largest reserve, the Hwange National Park. Dinner is served in the dining car en route to Kennedy Siding for the overnight stop.
Rovos Rail Day 2
After a continental breakfast you will disembark for a game drive at The Hide. Brunch is served in the dining cars and then Tea in the lounge and observation cars. Dinner will be served as the train heads towards Plumtree for Botswana border formalities.
Rovos Rail Day 3
Breakfast is served en route to the border via Botswana’s capital city, Gaborone, where border formalities will take place at Ramatlabama. Lunch is served as the train travels through the farmlands of the Marico Valley and dinner as the train traverses the Magaliesberg Range.
Return Flight
Breakfast will be served whereafter you will arrive at the journey’s end in Pretoria. You will be transferred to O.R. Tambo International Airport from the Rovos Rail private train station by private vehicle for your return flight.
