    Victoria Falls Package Highlights

This package takes you up close to the Smoke that Thunders!

Our Victoria Falls packages have been designed by our travel specialists to deliver matchless experiences while catering to your every need. This travel experience combines flights, airport transfers, accommodation in select Hotels and Resorts and hand-picked activities and experiences in select World’s Ultimate destinations.

    Victoria Falls
The Victoria Falls, the world’s largest waterfall and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of the greatest attractions in Africa. It is located in the Zambezi River, which forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is the only waterfall in the world with a length of more than a kilometre and a height of more than a hundred metres. The noise of Victoria Falls can be heard from as far as 40 kilometres away, while the spray and mist from the falling water is rising to a height of over 400m. The water level varies throughout the year with its peak in April, at the end of the rainy season and its lowest level in October and early November.

    World’s Ultimate Activities
Our hand-picked activities allow you to discover the essence and heartbeat of each World’s Ultimate destination and can be organised on a shared or private basis. Below are a few suggested activities:
    – High Tea at the Royal Livingstone: The Royal Livingstone’s Traditional High Tea is as famous and celebrated as the Hotel itself. Offering a tempting selection of cakes and confectionaries against the backdrop of the roaring Victoria Falls, the Royal Livingstone High Tea Experience is a thrill for the senses.
    – Sundowner Cocktails overlooking the Victoria Falls: African sunsets are legendary and so much more a sunset right over the Victoria Falls. The Royal Livingstone’s two Sundecks, located right on the Zambezi River, offer unrivalled views of the river and the thundering Victoria Falls.
    – Zambezi Spectacular Flight: The Zambezi Spectacular helicopter flight takes you on the traditional “Flight of Angels” and over the Batoka Gorges. You will witness first-hand the metamorphosis of a gentle river into raging rapids as the river, 1,7km wide at the Victoria Falls, cascades 120 metres before being compressed by a granite gorge a mere 40 metres wide. End your flight with game viewing over the Zambezi National Park. Many of the traditional African species including elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, crocodile and giraffe roam these plains.
    – Bungee Jump: With the largest curtain of falling water in the world as your backdrop, there is no better scene to take a bungee jump. It promises to be the ultimate thrill above the raging rapids and misty gorges of the Zambezi River.
    – Bridge Swing: For the adventurous traveller, take the step off of the Victoria Falls Bridge into the Batoka Gorge on the bridge swing. You will freefall over the Zambezi River in an upright position for 80 metres and then swing as a human pendulum in a huge arc side-by-side with the magnificent waterfall.
    – Bridge Slide: Step onto the platform on the Zambian edge and glide on a zipline over the rapids of the Batoka Gorge below. Your aerial view of the Victoria Falls will be nothing less than spectacular. Your 300 metre journey comes to an end as you stop on the Zimbabwean side of the bridge.
    – Elephant Back Safari: Choose to take a breakfast or sundowner Elephant back safari, a unique way to interact with these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. You will experience the close bond between each elephant and its personal Induna or elephant handler. They live with the elephants on a permanent basis and have a keen understanding of their character traits and habits.
    – River Rafting: Embark on the ultimate adventure starting directly below the Victoria Falls and continuing through the infamous rapids named “The Overland Truck-eater”, “The Mother”, “Gnashing Jaws of Death” and “Oblivion”. They were aptly named to instill fear into any rafter. Your experienced guide will steer you through this adrenalin rush as you conquer the rapids of the Zambezi.

    World’s Ultimate Accommodation
World’s Ultimate Experiences offers accommodation that will ensure that you experience the best of your chosen destination. Below are the hotels that we offer – Other hotels or resorts of your choice not featured on our website can be quoted on, should you wish.

Any of the below activities can be added to your itinerary at an additional price:

    Adrenaline Activities

    Zambezi Spectacular Flight
The Zambezi Spectacular flight encompasses the traditional “Flight of Angels” then continues downstream for a thrilling flight over the Batoka Gorges. An opportunity to witness the Zambezi river metamorphosis from a genteel and meandering river to turbulent raging rapids as the river, 1,7km wide at the Victoria Falls tumbles 120m before being compressed by a steep granite gorge a mere 40m wide.
The finale to the Zambezi Spectacular Flight is a game spotting tour over Zambezi National Park – home to many of the traditional African species including elephant, buffalo, hippo, lion, crocodile and giraffe which are regularly seen from the air during this stage of the flight.

    Big Air Experience

    Bungee Jump

The original and ultimate thrill! The location is unbeatable – in front of the largest curtain of falling water in the world, a World Heritage Site, set against the backdrop of one of the Seven Natural Wonders in the World and above the raging torrents and misty gorges of the mighty Zambezi River. Then 5-4-3-2-1 Bungee into the spray and rainbows below! Four seconds of freefall and 111 metres of pure adrenalin! Victoria Falls Bungee is consistently voted as one of the top five adrenalin experiences on the planet. For Bungee Jump veterans, make it even wilder by doing an Ankle-Tied, Back Flip or Star Elevator Jump.

    Bridge Swing

Step off the Victoria Falls Bridge into the Batoka Gorge over the mighty Zambezi River in an upright position for an 80 metre freefall then become a human pendulum as you swing in a huge arc with the cascading waterfall rumbling by your side. If you do not want to step into the void alone, take a partner with you and scream together as the rush of adrenalin surges through your body. The Swing provides a bonus chance to absorb the beautiful scenery of the Batoka Gorge while you slowly get winched back to the platform.

    Bridge Slide

The Bridge Slide is exciting and mildly adventurous but friendly for all ages from six years and up – either alone or with a friend. Beginning from a platform on the Zambian edge, the zipline glides 300 metres over the rapids in the Batoka Gorge below affording incomparable views of the Victoria Falls before gently coming to rest on the Zimbabwean side of the bridge.

    River Rafting
The journey begins 10km downstream of the Falls starting at the Overland Truck-eater (Rapid 11)  through to The End (Rapid 24) and includes the Mother (Rapid 13) at its brooding best. The river Journey is about 15km.

Land of the Giants - Safari Excursion

    Elephant Back Safari
Shearwater’s herd of twelve elephants reside on the Stanley and Livingstone Private Game Reserve, a few kilometres outside of Victoria Falls. Each Elephant has formed a close bond with their personal Induna (elephant handler) who live permanently with the elephants and understand each elephant’s unique character and traits. Participate in a Breakfast or Sundowner Elephant Back Safari and seize the opportunity to ride on these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.

Rhino Encounter, Night Game Drive Bush Dinner
This Sunset into Night Game Drive adds a unique dimension to the safari allowing you an opportunity to see scores of game march towards the Nakavango Dam just before the sun comes down. After dark, you can catch a glimpse of the nocturnal species of Africa as they come out to feed. The Night Game Drives returns to the reception area where a Bush Dinner under the stars will complete the evening before returning.

High Tea at the Royal Livingstone

The Royal Livingstone’s Traditional High Tea is as famous and celebrated as the Hotel itself. Offering a tempting selection of cakes and confectionaries against the backdrop of the roaring Victoria Falls, the Royal Livingstone High Tea Experience is a thrill for the senses.

Sundowner Cocktails overlooking the Victoria Falls

African sunsets are legendary and so much more a sunset right over the Victoria Falls. The Royal Livingstone’s two Sundecks are the perfect location for sundowners. Located right on the Zambezi River, they offer unrivalled views of the river and the thundering Victoria Falls. A Sundowner cocktail on one of Royal Livingstone’s sundecks is a must do.

    Return Home

After breakfast your private transfer will be waiting to take you to the airport for your return flight.

This masterpiece was shaped by the vision of golf legend Jack Nicklaus and his unique touch is evident throughout the course. Pearl Valley has two signature holes, 4th and 13th, both offering majestic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes. The 4th hole is as challenging, with limited margin for error as you need to cross the creek three times en route to a tricky green. This par 5 is regularly listed as one of the best par 5’s in South Africa, epitomising the ideals of ‘risk and reward’. The 13th hole is a daunting par 3. As the water cuts from the right and a greenside bunker waits, one is mesmerised by the cautious tee shot. This hole tests both your ball striking and your nerve.

    Safari

    Water Safari
The Delta is probably best known for its Mokoro rides. These are boating trips through the maze like channels and shallow lagoons of the Delta. They are conducted in traditional boats which are called Mokoros. These sturdy boats used to be hand crafted out of large Delta trees. Today most of the boats used in the Delta are fiber glass replicas, to prevent the cutting down and depletion of the Delta’s magnificent trees. Mokoros are a great way to go game viewing. As they are not motorized, they allow you to glide silently through the channels. This allows you to approach the wildlife silently and you will see more, as they are not scared off by a motor. You will see many animals that feed on the grass and reeds on the palm islands such as lechwe, sitatunga, elephant, hippo and crocodile.

Rhino Encounter, Night Game Drive Bush Dinner
This Sunset into Night Game Drive adds a unique dimension to the safari allowing you an opportunity to see scores of game march towards the Nakavango Dam to have their fill just before the sun comes down. After dark, you can catch a glimpse of the nocturnal species of Africa come out to feed. The Night Game Drives return to the reception area where a fulfilling Bush Dinner under the stars will complete the evening.

Sun City has many activities to choose from including:

    Golf
Golfing addicts will be in their element at Sun City with a choice of two exceptional, yet very different golfing experiences in the Gary Player Golf Course and the Lost City Golf Course. The Gary Player Golf Course, designed by none other than the legendary Gary Player, is an 18-hole par-72 walking-only championship course that is regularly ranked as the leading golf course in South Africa. Home to the Nedbank Golf Challenge, these fairways have been walked by the best in the game, from Jack Nicklaus and Ernie Els to the fierce Tiger Woods. Stretching over more than 7000 metres, it’s definitely one of the world’s longest golf courses and its challenge is both physical and mental. The par-five ninth hole is one of the most scenic with its island green, while the stroke one eighth hole is a tough test for even the professionals.

The Lost City Golf Course offers a 72-par, 18-hole desert-style course that incorporates 28 000 square metres of water features and includes a water hazard at Hole 13 which is home to 38 live Nile crocodiles.

    Sun City Safari

Sun City safari tours take you into the heart of the famous Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The reserve is a large wild game farm where Africa’s Big Five roam free and can be viewed by visitors throughout the year. Palace guests can enjoy Pilanesberg safari tours from the mighty African skies in a hot air balloon. Weather dependent, the balloon safaris take off from the middle of the park at the crack of dawn, rising slowly and serenely with the glorious African sun, and offering unmatched views of the natural surroundings. Sun City safari game drives – group and private – operate daily and offer you the chance to see all of South Africa’s finest, most majestic wildlife.

    Lions

    Sun City Spa

The Sun City Resort brings you that personal touch to soothe away the stress of modern living. The Gary Player Health Spa is a relaxing retreat into a world of stillness and sensuality at the Gary Player Country Club. Unwind with a range of treatments and products, or work up a sweat in the fully-equipped gym or steam room. At the Sun City Resort, you can relax, revive and rejuvenate yourself.

    Spa

    Valley of the Waves

Sun City’s Valley of Waves waterpark is a legendary hub for all kinds of water fun. This is a great for a family holiday as it accommodates the daring spirit for adventurers of all ages. There is a designated children’s area to keep parents’ minds at ease and lifeguards are on duty daily. Day visitors are also attracted to the Valley of Waves, as it encompasses a full day of exciting activity.

You enter the waterpark from the Entertainment Centre and across the Bridge of Time. This bridge erupts every hour in an exciting, theatrical display of vibrations, rumbling volcanic sounds and smoke. The main attraction at the Valley of Waves is the Roaring Lagoon – a 6,500 square metre wave pool with hydraulic mechanisms that generate waves of up to 1.8 metres every 90 seconds. The Roaring Lagoon is bordered by a beach with sea sand and palm trees.

There is something at the Valley of Waves for the more daring too. The famous Temple of Courage promises an exhilarating adrenalin rush with a 17-metre drop down a 70-metre slide. The almost vertical slide takes riders hurtling under a bridge and splashing into a small pool. There are also two body slides – the arantula and the Scorpion – and two tube rides – the Viper and the Mamba.

The Lazy River offers a gentle, continuous tube ride around an island, while the Royal Bath swimming pool beside the Amphitheatre offers a place to soak up some warm sun rays, cocktail in hand. There are a number of walkways through tropical forests surrounding the Valley of Waves. Here you can explore and discover the Spider Web Sway Bridge, hidden cave waterfalls, rare plant varieties and more.

    The Great Migration Package Highlights

This package gives you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience The Great Migration!

Our Great Migration packages have been designed by our travel specialists to deliver matchless experiences while catering to your every need. This travel experience combines flights, airport transfers, accommodation in select Hotels and Resorts and hand-picked activities and experiences in select World’s Ultimate destinations.

    The Great Migration
The Great Migration is a natural phenomenon determined by the availability of grazing for Wildebeest and Zebras. As the rains end in May in the south eastern part of the Serengeti, the animals start moving northwest into the areas around the Grumeti River, where they typically remain until late June. Their big obstacle, the crossings of the crocodile infested Grumeti and Mara rivers into the Maasai Mara begins in July. At this time tens of thousands of Wildebeest and Zebras can be seen in large herds. Watching the animals cross these waters can be very spectacular with regular occurrences of panic and confusion. In October the herds start migrating south once again, returning to the short grass plains of the Serengeti in November. The precise timing of the wildebeest migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year.

    Nairobi, Kenya
Nairobi is Kenya’s bustling capital city, often used as a jumping-off point for safari trips. Nairobi, the vibrant, modern Safari capital of Africa boasting with cultural and natural diversity ranging from an elephant orphanage to the Karen Blixen museum. A short scenic drive to the north of Nairobi lies the sweeping wilderness of Laikipia, a paradise for walkers, birders and luxury safari enthusiasts.

    Gorilla Trekking Package Highlights

This package brings you face-to-face with Rwanda’s majestic mountain gorillas.

Our Gorilla Trekking packages have been designed by our travel specialists to deliver matchless experiences while catering to your every need. This travel experience combines flights, airport transfers, accommodation in select Hotels and Resorts and hand-picked activities and experiences in select World’s Ultimate destinations.

    Kigali, Rwanda
Lying at the heart of Africa, Rwanda is one of the most dynamic travel destinations. Experience vibrant cities, pristine wilderness and an exceptionally hospitable people during your holiday in Rwanda. A unique and largely undiscovered venue, Rwanda also offers unrivalled biodiversity, beautiful mountains, some of the oldest and most precious rain forests on earth, five volcanoes, 23 lakes, numerous waterfalls, and three stunning national parks. As to wildlife, Rwanda boasts 13 species of primates (25% of the total number in Africa), and 670 species of birds, many of which are globally endangered. Kigali is the capital and largest city of Rwanda. It is situated near the geographic centre of the nation. The city has been the economic, cultural, and transport hub of Rwanda since it became capital at independence in 1962.

    Musanze
For most travellers, Musanze (Ruhengeri) is the preferred staging post on their way to the magnificent Volcanoes National Park, one of the best places in East Africa to track the mountain gorilla. Since permit holders are required to check in at the park headquarters in nearby Kinigi at 7am on the day of tracking, staying in Musanze is a much safer option than leaving from Kigali at the crack of dawn. Musanze is a pleasant enough town to explore on foot, and it’s situated near a number of interesting natural sights, with the massive Virunga volcanoes looming to the north and west.

    Gorilla Trekking
Expert local guides will bring you face to face with silverback gorillas in the Parc National des Volcans. You will spend between 3-10 hours tracking one of the official gorilla family groups through hillside paths, sometimes crawling through dense vegetation which can at times be challenging. Only limited visitor permits are available daily in order to conserve the habitat that the mountains live in, which makes early booking essential to avoid disappointment. Under guidance from the best, most highly trained people for the job, you find yourself face-to-face with something that seems so unequivocally human, it takes your breath away. An early start and a trek through dense rainforest is totally worth it for the privilege of spending an hour with these fascinating mammals. Youngsters may show off and huge silverbacks may beat their chests, but nothing beats just witnessing a gorilla family as they go about their daily business, chomp on bamboo, and watch you in return. It is no wonder that a gorilla trekking safari is often referred to as ‘the most memorable in the world’.

    World’s Ultimate Activities
Our hand-picked activities allow you to discover the essence and heartbeat of each World’s Ultimate destination and can be organised on a shared or private basis. This includes a Kigali City Tour which showcases the beauty and diversity of the capital city and provides you an opportunity to visit the Genocide Memorial and the eco-friendly philanthropic organization, ‘Cards from Africa.’

    World’s Ultimate Accommodation
World’s Ultimate Experiences offers accommodation that will ensure that you experience the best of your chosen destination. Below are the hotels that we offer – Other hotels or resorts of your choice not featured on our website can be quoted on, should you wish.
