    Edinburgh
Edinburgh is Scotland’s compact, hilly capital. It has a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical buildings. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. Arthur’s Seat is an imposing peak in Holyrood Park with sweeping views, and Calton Hill is topped with monuments and memorials.

    St Andrews
Golf has been played on the Links at St Andrews since around 1400 AD and the Old Course is renowned throughout the world as the Home of Golf. The game grew in popularity and by the 19th century it was part of the way of life for many local people, whether as players, caddies, ball makers or club makers. Golf still plays a major part in the culture and economy of St Andrews today. As the 600 year history of the Links has unfolded, one simple track hacked through the gorse and heather has developed into seven public golf courses, attracting hundreds of thousands of golfing pilgrims from around the globe. St Andrews Links is the largest golfing complex in Europe and all six 18 hole courses can be booked in advance.

    The Old Course
The Old Lady is unique among the world’s great golf courses. From the nerve racking 1st tee shot, you take up the challenge that has humbled so many of the world’s top golfers. The Old Course is unique in that it owes little to the hand of man in its design & layout. From the moment you arrive at the first tee in the shadows of the majestic Royal and Ancient Clubhouse, you cannot help but be absorbed by a sense of occasion, anxiety and ultimately excitement. Despite its age, the wonder of the St Andrews’ Old Course has stood the test of time and continues to challenge the best golfers in the world into the 21st Century.

    The New Course
Designed by Tom Morris in 1895, this is an undulating course similar in characteristics to the Old Course. The layout was based on the traditional out and back routing, among its most famous features are its shared fairways and a double green at the 3rd & 15th holes.

    Jubilee Course
The Jubilee Course at St Andrews was the third championship course built in the town. Opened for play in 1897, the course was named in honour of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, which celebrated her 60 year reign as the British monarch. The Jubilee Course began as a twelve hole course but it was lengthened to an 18 hole layout eight years later in 1905.

    The Castle Course
Opened in July 2008 by HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York, the Castle Course is the newest addition to St Andrews’ golf experience. The course offers views out over the ancient town of St Andrews, out to the North Sea and to the Angus coast and the Grampian mountains in the distance.

    Kingsbarns
Only six miles from St Andrews the course sweeps majestically along the sea near the charming village of Kingsbarns. Designed by American, Kyle Philips, the course is one of three hosting the annual Dunhill Links Championship. For more than half the holes, the sea is directly in the golfer’s active frame of play. Spacious fairways rolling and twisting through dune ridges and hollows and large inviting greens make this the ultimate links experience.

    Carnoustie
A truly classic links course, Carnoustie has hosted seven Open Championships since 1931. As one of the oldest courses in the world, it has been played by all the great names of golf. With a daunting cocktail of gales, thick rough and devilish bunkers, Carnoustie has earned its reputation as one of the most challenging courses in Britain.
